Since last week, much of Ukraine has now become a war zone, with the indiscriminate targeting of civilian areas resulting in hundreds of thousands of displaced refugees. For everyone who has a connection with the people and places affected, this is a truly upsetting time.

Here at The Trampery, we're looking for all the ways we can help. Our team are donating 40% of our people's committee budget for the year to The British Red Cross as a small gesture of solidarity and support.

We've also included some suggestions below of additional ways to help. If there's anything else you'd recommend, please send it our way and we can add to the list below.

Donate

If you're able to donate, there are a number of charities that are helping on the ground.

The British Red Cross is raising funds for food, medical supplies, shelter and water in Ukraine.

Voices of Children aims to help children affected by the war and are providing non-stop assistance to affected children and families from all over the country, providing emergency psychological assistance, and assisting in the evacuation process.

Mental health support

This is a stressful time, if you're feeling the impact on your mental health please reach out to any of the following.

Mind is working so everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

Mental Health Foundation promoting mental health for all.

Write to your local MP

Encourage the British government to take action by removing restrictions on Ukrainian refugees and placing further sanctions on the Russian government and its associates.

Get in touch with your local MP via email or post to their constituency address. Instructions on how to do so can be found on parliament.uk.

Take care of one other

In times like these, we can only do what we can. Just a reminder to check in with your neighbours and fellow members.

We don't know how this crisis might impact the people in our community so if you can, take the time to make sure everyone has the support they need.

If you need any additional support, please get in touch with us and our team will help any way we can.
